The way we interact, the way we do business, even the way we buy and sell <a href=\"https:\/\/www.simplifyingthemarket.com\/2020\/04\/08\/how-technology-is-enabling-the-real-estate-process\/?a=375140-ca8522ad04357da9549c08492a932f70\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">real estate<\/a> is changing. This is a moment in time that\u2019s even sparking some buyers to search for a better deal on a home. Sellers, however, aren\u2019t offering a discount these days; they\u2019re holding steady on price. <span id=\"more-42147\"><\/span><\/p>\n<p>According to the most recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nar.realtor\/research-and-statistics\/research-reports\/nar-flash-survey-economic-pulse\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><em>NAR Flash Survey<\/em><\/a> (a survey of real estate agents from across the country), agents were asked the following two questions:<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>1. \u201cHave any of your sellers recently reduced their price to attract buyers?\u201d<\/em> <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Their answer: 72% said their sellers have not lowered prices to attract buyers during this health crisis.<em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>2. \u201cAre home buyers expecting lower prices now?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Their answer: 63% of agents said their buyers were looking for a price reduction of at least 5%.<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/files.simplifyingthemarket.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/15170507\/20200416-MEM-Eng-1.jpg?ssl=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-42149\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/files.simplifyingthemarket.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/15170507\/20200416-MEM-Eng-1.jpg?resize=650%2C366&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"Today\u2019s Homebuyers Want Lower Prices. On the other hand, sellers are much more confident that they will not need to reduce their prices in order to sell their homes.
