This is in contrast with 2020 when homes sold slower in the spring and fastest in September and October. While we expect fall to be competitive, this year\u2019s seasonal pattern is likely to be more normal, with <strong>homes selling fastest from roughly now until mid-summer<\/strong>.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nar.realtor\/blogs\/economists-outlook\/how-are-buyers-coping-in-a-highly-competitive-housing-market\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><em>National Association of Realtors<\/em> (NAR)<\/a><\/h4>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>\u201c<strong>Sellers who have been hesitant<\/strong> to list homes as part of their personal health safety precautions <strong>may be more encouraged to list and show their homes<\/strong> with a population mostly vaccinated by the mid-year.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h4><a href=\"https:\/\/www.realtor.com\/research\/weekly-housing-trends-view-data-week-may-8-2021\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Danielle Hale, <em>Chief Economist<\/em> at <em>realtor.com<\/em><\/a><\/h4>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>\u201cSurveys showed that seller confidence continued to rise in April. Extra confidence plus our recent survey finding that <strong>more homeowners than normal are planning to list their homes for sale in the next 12 months<\/strong> suggest that while we may not see an end to the sellers\u2019 market, <strong>we might see the intensity of the competition diminish<\/strong> as buyers have more options to choose from.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<h4><a href=\"http:\/\/www.freddiemac.com\/research\/forecast\/20210414_quarterly_economic_forecast.page\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"><em>Freddie Mac<\/em><\/a><\/h4>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>\u201c<strong>We forecast that mortgage rates will continue to rise through the end of next year<\/strong>.
