Here\u2019s some information that can help clear up the confusion.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Mortgage Rates Are Volatile by Nature<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.simplifyingthemarket.com\/2024\/01\/08\/what-lower-mortgage-rates-mean-for-your-purchasing-power\/?a=375140-ca8522ad04357da9549c08492a932f70\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">Mortgage rates<\/a> don\u2019t move in a straight line. There are too <a href=\"https:\/\/www.simplifyingthemarket.com\/2024\/01\/30\/2-of-the-factors-that-impact-mortgage-rates\/?a=375140-ca8522ad04357da9549c08492a932f70\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">many factors<\/a> at play for that to happen. So, what\u2019s the right way to look at it?<\/p>\n<h4><strong>The Big Picture<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Mortgage rates are always going to bounce around. It\u2019s just how they work. So, you shouldn\u2019t focus too much on the small, daily changes. Instead, to really understand the overall trend, zoom out and look at the big picture.<\/p>\n<p>When you look at the highest point (October) compared to where rates are now, you can see they\u2019ve <a href=\"https:\/\/www.simplifyingthemarket.com\/2023\/12\/20\/why-mortgage-rates-could-continue-to-decline\/?a=375140-ca8522ad04357da9549c08492a932f70\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">come down<\/a> compared to last year. And if you\u2019re looking to buy a home, this is big news. Don\u2019t let the little blips distract you.
