As an article from <em>Investopedia<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.investopedia.com\/articles\/mortgages-real-estate\/08\/home-seller-mistakes-selling-house.asp\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">explains<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201c<\/em><strong><em>If someone wants to view your house, you need to accommodate them, even if it inconveniences you.<\/em><\/strong><em> Clean and tidy the house before every single visit. A buyer won\u2019t know or care if your house was clean last week. It\u2019s a lot of work, but stay focused on the prize.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>To figure out what\u2019s best for you, your agent will walk you through options like the ones below. This list breaks things down, starting with what\u2019s most convenient for buyers and getting less buyer-focused as the list goes on:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Lockbox on the Door<\/strong> \u2013 A key is available via a lockbox, which makes it easy for agents to show the home to potential buyers. This gives the most flexibility because the key is on-site and convenient.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Providing a Key to the Home<\/strong> \u2013 An agent would have to stop by an office to pick up the key with this option. This is still pretty convenient for showings, but not quite as simple.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Open Access with a Phone Call<\/strong> \u2013 You allow a showing with just a phone call\u2019s notice, which can be great for someone who sees your house while driving by.<\/li>\n<li><strong>By Appointment Only<\/strong> \u2013 This gives you a more advanced warning so you can get the house tidied up and be sure you have somewhere else you can go in the meantime. But it\u2019s also a bit more restrictive.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Limited Access<\/strong> \u2013 You might go this route if you only want to have your house available on specific days or at certain times of day. But realize this is the most difficult and least flexible of the choices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As an article from <em>U.S. News Real Estate<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/realestate.usnews.com\/real-estate\/slideshows\/secrets-to-selling-your-home-faster?slide=15\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">says<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cBuyers like to see homes on their schedule, which often means evenings and weekends.
