But things are starting to look up.<\/p>\n<p>There are more homes up for grabs this year. The graph below uses the latest <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realtor.com\/research\/data\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">data<\/a> from <em>Realtor.com<\/em> to show in April 2024 there were more homes for sale than there were over the last few years (2021-2023):<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/files.keepingcurrentmatters.com\/KeepingCurrentMatters\/content\/images\/20240515\/20240516-Existing-Homes-Available-for-Sale.png?ssl=1\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/files.keepingcurrentmatters.com\/KeepingCurrentMatters\/content\/images\/20240515\/20240516-Existing-Homes-Available-for-Sale.png?ssl=1\" alt=\"No Caption Received\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>As <em>Realtor.com<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realtor.com\/research\/april-2024-data\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">explains<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201c<\/em><strong><em>There were 30.4% more homes actively for sale on a typical day in April compared with the same time in 2023<\/em><\/strong><em>, marking the sixth consecutive month of annual inventory growth.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>But does this growing inventory make house hunting easier?
