Rising Costs:<\/strong> Building materials, labor shortages, and supply chain disruptions caused by the pandemic have all made it harder and more expensive to build homes. This can either limit or stop new home construction in some areas.  <\/p>\n<p><strong>3. Regional Imbalances:<\/strong> Some markets are more affected by the shortage of homes than others. Popular and more desirable areas have more people moving in faster than new homes can be built.
